Find Family

Names associated with the Buerer Family Research are as follows: Buerer, Buhrer, Gerlach, Schwab, Kuhl, Kuter, Deily, Grimm and Willrett.
Our primary interest is two fold. First, to continue research on Gottlieb (Buhrer) Buerer. According to oral family history, his parents died when he was a small boy and he was raised by his father's sister and family in Germany. He attended a University in Berlin, Germany and then came to American/United States prior to 1846. Secondly, to continue updating family records so that the younger generations will have current records.

I invite anyone interested in this project to participate with me in developing and updating existing family records and files.

If you have pictures of any Buerer families and would like to share them with other family members, particularly, pictures of the Gottleib, Henry, Samuel and William Buerer families, please contact Nathan Buerer at 501-327-1300. All photos will be returned. Thank you for helping to preserve and share our family history.

This work was started by great-aunt Lillian Pearl (Buerer) Drake. She forwarded a lot of her work to me prior to her death. Her book entitled "SCHWAB, KUHL, BUERER Family History", 1961, has since been a source of family information and pride.

I dedicate my work to my father and mother, James Douglas and Margaret(Finfrock) Buerer and to my great-aunt Pearl, my wife, children, grandchildren and those to follow that they may continue.

NOTE: MARCH 3, 2005; Please take note of the family website links. Today I am including a website that Mrs. Mary Russell has worked long and hard to perfect. I am so proud of her and the long hours she has spent downloading pictures and information on the Gottlieb Buhrer (Buerer) family. Please visit her website and give her your help. If you have pictures that you do NOT find on her website, please be generous and share with the rest of the family. Be sure to attach your name as the contributor of the picture. You will have to put in a UserName and a Password in order to gain access to her website on MyFamily.com. Thank You. Nathan Buerer
